FOSTER CARER FAQ
Everything you need to know about fostering with Silver Lining Pet Rescue.
DO I NEED EXPERIENCE TO FOSTER?
No. You don't need previous fostering experience. We'll provide support and guidance throughout your foster journey.
CAN I FOSTER IF I ALREADY HAVE PETS?
Yes. Many of our foster carers have pets of their own. We'll consider your household and existing pets when matching you with a suitable foster animal.
WHAT IF I NEED HELP WHILE FOSTERING?
You're not on your own. Our rescue team will support you throughout the foster journey and help with questions or concerns along the way.
HOW LONG WILL I FOSTER FOR?
The length of time varies depending on the animal and their circumstances. Some pets may need a short stay, while others may need care for longer.
WHAT DO I NEED TO PROVIDE?
You'll provide a safe and loving home, daily care and time. We'll discuss what your foster pet needs with you before they come into your care.
WHAT HAPPENS WHEN MY FOSTER PET IS ADOPTED?
When the right forever home is found, your foster pet will move on to their new family. It can be bittersweet, but you've played an important part in giving them their silver lining.
