Not your average Pigs.

These two gorgeous babies were found on a pig farm in Murgon and have been named accordingly (Babe and Wilbur). Two precious little girls, named after boy pigs.

We received notification of these two, three week old babies having been abandoned by a wild mama and one of our wonderful foster carer's went and picked them up from the farm as she lived nearby. As one of our foster carer's is an absolute sucker for neonates, she jumped in the car and drove the two hours to go and pick them up from the other foster carer's house, arriving at 10pm.

The first picture you see is Babe’s before and after a bath. She was dropped and left by her mum in pig poo and it was absolutely caked to her from head to toe so the first port of call between the foster carer's was to get the stinky, sticky mess off her.

We would never have guessed that she was a beautiful torti girl with a long, luscious coat.

The two hour trip home was very touch and go for little Babe and there were moments we thought we had lost her but two days later she is hanging in there and getting brighter and healthier all the time.

Seeing them progress the way these little ones have is the reason we do this. Seeing the transformation of some of the cats and kittens that come into care, whether it be seeing them find their feet and slowly gain confidence or nursing them back to health or even simply seeing them go to beautiful new homes is amongst the most rewarding things you could imagine.

Keep our sweet babies in your prayers. Neonates can be very touch and go but we are so very hopeful, as always and will give them all that we have while they are in care.
