On Saturday 4th August 2018, Silver Lining Pet Rescue was invited to attend an adoption and information day at PETstock Kawana. A few of our foster pets attended with a sparkle in their eyes! Kate McGuinness our Sunny Coast volunteer helped organise and run the event along with a few of our management team.

The staff at PETstock Kawana are always inviting and friendly, Even letting us leave a few of our cats there in their indoor enclosure to help get exposure and a forever home! We have had much success with Cat adoptions at PETstock Kawana and Gympie.

Unfortunately no adoptions have come through since the adoption day but we have had a little bit of a success with donations by raising $90. While this may not seem much, It is a great help to our rescue as every bit helps. We are even getting a mention in the Sunshine Coast Daily!

So, while we didn't have any adoptions happen through this event, We did raise a bit of extra money to help with our ongoing bills and got exposure, but our foster pets truly got the winning end of this by getting all those snuggles and kisses from many customers who came through the store!

Our ongoing work continues and eventually a successful adoption will come through!
